Asherah: A Love Odyssey, the new feature film by writer-director Gary Mazeffa, has been officially accredited for Ventana Sur 2025, Latin America’s leading film market, presented by the Marché du Film / Festival de Cannes.

Now in final post-production, the film explores the mythic and emotional journey of Asherah — a figure representing humanity’s longing for completion and the re-awakening of the sacred feminine.

Filmed across multiple locations in the United States, the project unites a global creative team across music, VFX, and visual design, embodying a vision that bridges artistic expression with spiritual depth.

“This project was never just a movie,” says Mazeffa. “It’s a dialogue between worlds — between reason and faith, between man and woman, between North and South. Ventana Sur is the perfect place for that dialogue to begin.”

Mazeffa will attend the market in Buenos Aires to meet with international distributors, festival programmers, and strategic collaborators as Asherah: A Love Odyssey moves toward its targeted Cannes 2026 debut.

Produced by Q2 Films LLC, the feature stars Allyson Vernon as the eighteen-year-old Asherah.
